Nostalgic trip to my college (Ramjas College, Delhi University) to get the original graduation degree from Delhi University after 17 years.
The big occasion was to enquire about the process to collect my graduation degree. Somehow it was never asked during so many years either for my PG or any employer. I was not sure about the process or the documentation needed. Was not even sure whether to approach DU or my College.
But a small step of mine to head straight to my college turned out to be a giant leap for the cause. I reached office armed with college i-card, mark sheet, photocopies, white sheets to write applications and lots of time. But to my surprize and a possible disappointment to all of you who are reading this patiently … nothing dramatic happened.
I just showed my mark-sheet and gentlemen at college admin office handed over the Degree to me in less than the time it takes to cook maggi …5 mins ( I know this debatable and controversial but i am yet to find anyone who can do so ) No documentation, photocopies, applications waiting.. none.
Just signed the receiving on the register and walked out with the original degree. I must say they have kept it with utmost care and was in immaculate condition.
